Our Spring Concert day is coming up on Saturday, April 1, 2023.  We present all of our Fall and Spring concerts in the Schwan Concert Hall inside the Center for Arts and Performance at Wisconsin Lutheran College in Wauwatosa.

Our concerts have been extremely meaningful to our students, and are an important part of their education.  Many students show their strongest improvement during the weeks before and after our concerts.

You can view a map of the concert location on our website:

Concerts & Recitals

ALL students from all classes perform at our concerts. Admission is free, and each concert will last a little over one hour.

We will present 2 separate concerts on April 1 (back-to-back) so that we will have plenty of space for families and performers in the concert hall. Here are the concert start times:

 - 2:00 PM (Pewaukee & Greenfield students will perform)
- 3:45 PM (Grafton & Madison students will perform)

 However,
we do ask students from the following groups to perform at both concerts so that these students can experience playing with a large group:

 - Concert Orchestra
 - Philharmonic Orchestra
 - Concert Band
 - Symphonic Band

Dress and Logistics
Concert dress code for students is "business casual."  Slacks, khakis, skirts, and/or dresses of any color are all fine.

Students should have their name on instrument cases, folders, and books to avoid any confusion at the end of the concerts.  Music stands are provided at the concert hall, so students do not need to bring one.

Students in Concert Orchestra and Philharmonic Orchestra will sit on the stage during the entire concert.  These students should arrive at least 20 minutes before their performance time so that they can tune their instrument, find their seat, and warm up before the performance.  We will leave all instrument cases in the backstage hallway.  (We will seat Concert Orchestra and Philharmonic Orchestra students at 1:45 PM for the first concert, and again at 3:30 PM for the second concert.)

Students in Beginner's String Orchestra should tune their instruments after they arrive (but before their concert begins), and leave their instruments (inside their cases) in the backstage hallway.

Students in Beginner's Band and Concert Band should also leave their instruments in the backstage hallway.

Students in Mini-Maestros, Musica Primaria, Drums, Flutes, & Ukuleles, Concert Choir, Beginner's String Orchestra, Beginner's Band, Concert Band, and Symphonic Band will sit with their families during the entire concert while they are not performing. We will call each of those groups to the stage (or to the backstage hallway) when it is their turn to perform (or their turn to prepare to perform).

The official address of the college is 8800 W Bluemound Rd in Milwaukee, WI. However, please note on the campus map that the "Center for Arts and Performance" is on the north edge of campus along Wisconsin Avenue. There is free, convenient parking in the parking lot on the east side of the building. There is also parking available on Wisconsin Avenue near the building.

In addition to the parking lot and street parking, there is a parking structure on Wisconsin Avenue just east of the "Center for Arts and Performance."
